José María is characterised by rigour and a passion for processes. He began his career in the field of architecture (1998), to which he dedicated more than 10 years. Interested in quality, he subsequently obtained a master’s degree in Quality Management in Business from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and now specialises in quality management.

He is a certified internal auditor of ISO 9001 quality management systems  and an accredited evaluator of the EFQM model, and he has completed  the Lean Practitioner postgraduate course run by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the Instituto Lean Management. In addition, he sits on external evaluation committees as a professional expert for AQU, the agency for the promotion and assurance of quality in the Catalan higher education system.
