To what end?

To create a single company-wide system that integrates the aspects common to various specific management systems, an organisation can minimise duplication, thereby increasing its efficiency and efficacy.

What do they involve?

An integrated management system usually comprises two or more of the following management systems: quality management (ISO 9001), environmental management (ISO 14001 / EMAS) and occupational health and safety management (OHSAS 18001). Once we have decided which systems we want to integrate, we must identify the overlaps and interdependencies to design a single system capable of incorporating new organisational solutions in a consistent way.
