In the last two years, the implementation of the EFQM model of excellence in business management has experienced an upward trend in the health sector, from less than twenty accredited centres to about fifty. Its focus on achieving good results for different interest groups has managed to consolidate it as a reference model between managers and professionals in the sector. The success of its growth is due in part to the flexibility of the model in adapting to the needs of each organisation since it is not prescriptive and adjusts to different types of organisations, both public and private.
