The Claror Foundation contacted Comtec in 2017 to implement an excellence recognition project based on the EFQM Model. Different opportunities for improvement were identified and covered during the project, including the certification of a quality management system based on the ISO 9001 standard and the publishing of a service charter. Comtec’s support is once again required to implement both projects. The Claror Foundation suggests drafting and publishing a Service Charter in order to continue moving forward with its commitment to quality, user focus, transparency and continuous improvement. Three months into the project, the Claror Foundation Service Charter was published, in which it provides corporate information, lists its benefits, and establishes its commitments and obligations with regard to its users, thus contributing toward organisational transparency and keeping its stakeholders informed.

The joint work path between COMTEC and Sagrat Cor Hospital started in 2013 with the preparation of the 2014-2017 Strategic Plan, the development of a process management project and the achievement of an EFQM 200+ recognition of the level of excellence. With this new challenge, the relationship of both entities is extended with a new commitment to continuous improvement. The Sagrat Cor Hospital assumes the challenge of improving EFQM recognition to the level of excellence already achieved (200+). In turn, it wants to continue to involve not only the members of the Management Committee but also the rest of the management staff and coordinators, to strengthen the excellent management culture.

The Tibidabo Amusement Park dates back to 1899 and that makes it a historical landmark in the city of Barcelona, given that it is the first amusement park in Spain and the second oldest in Europe. Known for its incredible views of the city and its natural environment in the Sierra de Collserola, the complex has more than 25 attractions aimed at a family audience with options for all ages. The first contact with quality management systems took place in 2003 when the park committed to ISO 9001:2000 certification and the subsequent ISO 14001:2004 certification in 2015, which reinforces the role of the park as socially responsible and committed to reducing environmental impact in the environment of which it belongs. In 2012, Tibidabo Amusement Park decided to opt for the EFQM model and obtains an EFQM 300+ recognition of the level of excellence in its management. Two years later, he contacted COMTEC for his experience with the model to advance towards the 400+ seal.

2006 – 2010 Going from 46% to 98% compliance with the 531 standards of the healthcare accreditation model is an undeniable sign of improvement, made possible by the entire hospital staff's commitment to excellence and strict adherence to the established improvement plan. The centre's executives put their trust in Comtec because, as hospital administrator Dr. Joan Grané noted, "It has a reputation as a leader in the area of quality and excellence in the healthcare industry."

The Mare de Déu de la Mercè Hospital assumes the challenge of obtaining recognition of the level of excellence awarded by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). Following the evaluation carried out by AENOR, which the organization successfully surpassed, the center obtained the European Seal of Excellence 400+ and showed the entity's commitment to excellence and its improvement plan.

2015 The contact between Anoia and Comtec Filters came in 1998 , when the entity is proposed to structure tasks and responsibilities under the guidance of Comtec . Thus, filters Anoia sets the target to improve their organization and quality management system and certified and ISO 9001. Subsequently, filters Anoia was proposed to move forward with the ISO 14001 certification , under the aim of integrating the two systems in a single system of quality management and environment to organize optimally and to become more commercially competitive .

January – July 2013 There is no greater achievement than a satisfied client, and no better proof of success than a repeat customer. We are therefore proud of the fact that Admira Visión, an ophthalmology clinic that worked with Comtec in 2010, turned to us once again to obtain and subsequently validate the EFQM Committed to Excellence certificate. On receiving this certification, Admira Visión became the only Spanish eye clinic to receive a 2-star rating (200+ points) from the Club de Excelencia en la Gestión, EFQM's partner organisation in Spain.

When the current Board of Management of the Catalan Basketball Federation (FCBQ) won the last elections, it presented a document during its candidacy period that contained 20 commitments to be undertaken during the period 2016 to 2020. One of these commitments was to organise a Congress or Strategic Plan with the participation of the clubs belonging to the FCBQ in order to define the future model. Considering the technical complexity of the project and the time required to guarantee development outside the ordinary course of business of the FCBQ, the management of the organisation put a proposal to the Board of Management to appoint a company from the sector that specialised in this type of projects. This proposal led to Comtec Sports Consulting being appointed to undertake the FCBQ Strategic Plan.

Benito Menni and Comtec began their partnership in 2004 with the aim of obtaining a certification of the entire institution according to the standard ISO 9001:2008 quality management systems. Once this objective, the relationship between Benito Menni and Comtec continued existing in different areas related to quality and excellence in management, among others. In 2012 the Center took up the challenge of present 400 EFQM recognition in order to achieve recognition of the road to excellence assumed and integrated by the organization. With obtaining the seal 400, the next step was to bet on the 500 and consolidate the commitment of the Centre by the highest quality of care.

A més, el projecte va voler integrar el sistema de gestió de la prevenció en el sistema de gestió de la qualitat i ambiental de l'organització, així com contribuir aportant valor al creixement i la consolidació del projecte empresarial.

After several years of experience, Institut de Transtorns Alimentaris (ITA) has become one of the main reference points at the national level, with a comprehensive treatment model and facilities facilitating a continuum of care. In order to make progress in its quality management system, Institut de Transtorns Alimentaris contacted COMTEC with the aim of certifying ISO 9001: 2015, its hospitalization services, day hospital, external consultations and shared flats. This document explains the methodology and the results.

The Catalònia Group set out to achieve ISO 9001: 2008 for its quality management system for all its centers and care services within a year . The project started in September 2014 , getting the certificate in July 2015. Through the partnership between Comtec and the challenge proposed, Catalònia Grup obtained the ISO 9001: 2008 certification Quality Management Systems for all centers and care services of the company in July 2015 .

The center thought it would be interesting to analyze the organizational efficiency of the Hospitalization plant of geriatric patients in order to improve the quality of care offered and the satisfaction of the professionals, by reducing the percentage of time and tasks  with no added value for the patient by applying Lean methodology. After the application of the Lean philosophy over a period of two months, organizational efficiency indicators improved markedly. First, patients received their meals before. Secondly, improving coordination between the auxiliaries and also between assistants and nurses allowed them to start making beds before, since other activities of subsidiary, such as hygiene patients, were already finished. Third, with tracking standard, the reaction time by professionals to the call of a bell was reduced. Thus ,the plant of Hospitalization of elderly patients improved its organizational efficiency by reducing feelings of stress and accumulation of tasks throughout the day.

The Hospital Benito Menni CASM took on the challenge of creating its letter of services and certifying it according to the UNE 93200 Standard with the final objective of approaching its users and citizens informing them of the services it provides, the rights that assist them in relation to the services provided and the quality commitments assumed by the Institution in its provision. The centre successfully passed the audit of its charter of services carried out by AENOR based on the UNE 93200 Standard, becoming the first, and at the moment only, mental health entity in Catalonia with a certified charter of services. The certification, which was obtained on 11 December 2014, shows the entity's commitment to users and citizens and makes Benito Menni comply with article 59 of Law 19/2014, of 24 December, on transparency, access to public information and good governance.

2014 In June 2014 the Complex Assistencial en Salut Mental Benito Menni obtained UNE 179003 certification in patient safety risk management, becoming the first Spanish mental healthcare facility to achieve this recognition as well as the first in the entire healthcare industry in Catalonia. Furthermore, not content to certify just one service, Benito Menni obtained certification for all of its activities.

MC MUTUAL took up the challenge of obtaining the European Excellence Certificate 00+ from the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). This is the first formal EFQM evaluation conducted in the organization, although the management team had previously performed some self-assessment exercise. As a result of its latest strategic plan, MC MUTUAL decided to bet on obtaining an EFQM recognition that reinforced its commitment to excellence in management and that will help to boost the confidence of its different interest groups. In order to guarantee the success of the project, COMTEC was chosen as the consulting company in charge of the project, due to its wide experience and positioning of reference in the field of excellence in management, as well as the trust acquired after having previously collaborated in other types of projects : Process management, lean management, etc.

Hospital Universitari Sagrat Cor, Center previously acredited (with a degree of achievement of the 91,81% standard) depending on the model of "Accreditation of centres of acute hospital care in Catalonia", decides to delve into the EFQM model and bet on the external recognition through obtaining a seal of excellence in 2015. After overcoming the evaluation process, the Center obtained the EFQM 400 seal. After a period working the EFQM model and analyzing more specific aspects, the Organization was ready for a new approach to the pursuit of excellence. Obtaining this recognition represents a milestone that leave evidence of their work to offer the best possible service to its users for the Center.

The CHM Salut Mental Group incorporates four entities with a social commitment: the Associació Centre d' Higiene Mental Les Corts, the Fundació Privada Centre d' Higiene Mental Les Corts, the Associació Les Corts per la Inserció Laboral and the Fundació Privada Vol. Its entities are non-profit-making and carry out their activities in the public care environment and from a comprehensive community mental health perspective. In order to advance in the provision of the service in the coming years, the organization designed and established the Strategic Plan 2017-2020 accompanied by COMTEC and with the collaboration of all its institutions, with an overall participation rate of more than 65% that reflects the involvement of its staff at different levels.

2013 Fundació Eulàlia Torras de Beà worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Comtec for 6 months in order to achieve ISO 9001 certification. Finally, in December 2013, the foundation was able to certify its quality management system, with the added benefit of having improved its management order, control and systematisation.

After having been inspired by the EFQM Excellence Model for years, the Claror Foundation contacted Comtec in 2017 to implement an excellence recognition project. The challenge was suggested of enhancing the management work of the Claror Foundation as much as possible, helping them in their first attempt to achieve the maximum level of excellence recognition, the EFQM 500+ seal. Finally, in June 2018 and 12 months into the project, the Claror Foundation obtained, in its first attempt, EFQM 500+ recognition for its sports management and organisation of sporting events.

2006 In accordance with its strategic goal of being pioneering leaders in the mental healthcare field, Benito Menni has implemented the ISO 9001 quality management system in all of its healthcare mechanisms. This prestigious international recognition was made possible thanks to the leadership and hard work of the centre's professionals and their close collaboration with Comtec, with whom they continue to work on various projects.

The Service of the Official Bulletin of the Province of Barcelona obtained the EFQM 400+ seal of recognition and consolidates its mission to publish official announcements of provincial level with criteria of excellence and develop value-added services aimed at facilitating access to information of Catalan public sphere, and contribute to the transparency of public administrations.

2003-2007 Corachan Clinic went on to get health accreditation by the Accreditation Model Centers Acute Hospital Care, promoting the culture of quality management. Under this purpose, Comtec gave support to Corachan for obtaining accreditation as for later renovation. With these objectives in mind, the methodological approach was structured in three parts: assessment, monitoring and improvement plan. The clinic got accredited by the Accreditation Model Centers acute Hospital Care in 2009, while among their workers prompted a culture of quality management and continuous improvement during the 6 years of the project.

The Claror Foundation contacted Comtec in 2017 to implement an excellence recognition project based on the EFQM Model. The Claror Foundation sought to implement and certify a quality management system based on the ISO 9001 standard in all the centres it manages. The Claror Foundation was awarded the ISO 9001 certificate for its quality management system in April 2018, 4 months after its implementation and with no non-compliance detected thanks to the leadership of the organisation's management and the work of its professionals alongside Comtec throughout the project.

The Centre Psicopedagògic Mare de Déu de Montserrat educational psychology centre requested the collaboration of Comtec to progress in its commitment towards excellence and obtain an EFQM recognition stamp. The centre faced a dual challenge. On the one hand, to achieve the level of excellence of the EFQM 200+ Model and, on the other, to ensure team creation and cohesion between the senior and middle management. The centre obtained recognition from the institution in March 2019, after 12 months of implementation of the EFQM 200+ Model. The partnership between Comtec and Centre Psicopedagògic Mare de Déu de Montserrat was one of the keys to achieving it.

The Mare de Déu de la Mercè Hospital is awarded the UNE 179003 Risk management for Patient Safety certificate. The aim of the organisation to continue progressing in the provision of excellent, quality care that fulfils its hospital values has enabled the institution to take another step forward and implement a risk management system to improve patient safety, certifying it under the UNE 179003 Standard. Comtec has accompanied them through this process, and has helped provide continuity on the road towards business management excellence that the hospital has implemented through the practical application of the EFQM Model.

The challenge of the Salut Empordà Foundation was to implement and certify a quality management system based on the ISO 9001:2015 standard for the organisation’s Diagnostic Imaging service. Furthermore, the goal was to do so as part of the idiosyncrasy and working mechanisms of the service to ensure the full integration of the system and minimise its operational cost. Comtec accompanied the Foundation on the path to meeting this goal and decided to integrate a quality management system into the process that was in line with its needs and was integrated into the organisation as a whole.

August – November 2012 When the directors of the Consorci de Transport Sanitari de Catalunya Regió Girona first contacted Comtec, their sights were set on a 3-star Recognised for Excellence rating, but four months later this healthcare transport consortium was able to achieve over 400 points and earn a 4-star recognition thanks to their hard work and dedication. By making the most of Comtec's expert advice on matters like streamlining and change management, the CTSC became a pioneer and leading name in its field.

The scope of the project includes the community health centre, the outpatients’ centre and the home for elderly adults with highly complex care needs in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, and the community health centre and the outpatients’ centre in Sant Boi de Llobregat. Obtaining this certificate is an extraordinary way of celebrating their 30th anniversary and strengthening their position for the next thirty years, which is their utmost priority. Comtec has helped them adapt the standard to their needs and method of work, and they now have a quality management system tailored to their situation. The success obtained strengthens the relationship between Prytanis and Comtec for future projects.

Campdevànol's Hospital wanted to get health accreditation of Catalunya for their primary health care teams, in accordance with the requirements of the Model Accreditation Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The project concluded with the accreditation center with a score of 96 out of 100 in the external evaluation. The result has been a success for the center because it has far exceeded the minimum score of 60 for accreditation . Having achieved a compliance rate of over 80 standards, the Hospital of Campdevànol should not undergo another Appraisal up after three years.

2012 - 2013 For MC Mutual, business process management has turned out to be not only a useful tool for improvement and optimised performance, but also a key element of change management within the organisation. The process team that received training during the pilot project has managed the process independently since May 2013. Today, Comtec and MC Mutual continue to work together on managing other processes.

2012-2013 IM Clínic has certified its activities in the areas of minor plastic surgery (cosmetic and reconstructive), cosmetic medicine and cosmetic and therapeutic treatments to standard ISO 9001, while also managing to restructure its management decision in a way that facilitates decision-making. In addition, the administrators and Comtec have managed to convince the organisation's staff of the importance of the new management model and the need for a change in corporate culture.

Anestalia is a society of medical services in anesthesiology that provides its services since 1994 to Teknon Medical Center, which offers a comprehensive health care service giving priority to personalized attention with the support of the most advanced technology in each of the areas of patient care. They work in different areas of specialization, such as operating theatre, obstetrics, endoscopy, radiology, assisted reproduction and post-operative pain. Anestalia contacts COMTEC to renew the ISO 9001 certification, adapting its management system to the requirements of the 2015 version of the standard. As a result of the process of adaptation to which the organization is embarking, COMTEC suggests reviewing and preparing its risk management system for patient safety and certifying it according to UNE 179003. The aim is to carry out actions aimed at preventing patient safety risks in an aligned and integrated manner with its quality management system.

April 2017 The track record of working together between Comtec and Grup Sant Pere Claver started in 2005 with the project of certification of ISO 9001 and its maintenance over the years. Since then, we have worked on two previous Strategic Plans (2008-2011, 2012-2015), audits of clinical history and advice to obtain the European seal of excellence in management (EFQM). On this occasion, the Grup Sant Pere Claver assumes the challenge of obtaining the certificate of excellence in the 400+ management awarded by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), a model of excellence in management as a way for self-assessment and determination of the processes of continuous improvement in business environments, both private and public.

2013 Thanks to an intense joint effort focused on a single goal, the Complex Assistencial en Salut Mental Benito Menni was rewarded with the EFQM Recognised for Excellence 4-star distinction. This accreditation represents a qualitative leap for the centre, placing it in the vanguard of international mental healthcare in terms of quality and good service.

Equivalenza set out to achieve the implementation and certification of a quality management system based on the ISO 9001:2015 Standard in order to achieve more efficient and stable processes that guarantee the supply of products and services under high quality standards. Through the process, the entity improved, on the one hand, the ability to control of the product that is sent to the stores to be sold and, on the other hand, the ability to control and act on the suppliers that carry out the production of the product.
